Arquiteto João Paciência

Architecture graduate of Escola Superior de Belas Artes, Lisbon, 1970.
He taught drawing at the Architecture Faculty of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (1982-1993) and in the Architecture Department of Universidade Lusíada (1986-1990).
 

Since 1982 he has his own studio, working in several areas of architecture and urbanism.

He participated in several public architecture competitions, some of which were awarded first place and several already held.

He has already produced projects for countries like Algeria and Angola.

Throughout his career he received two Valmor awards in Lisbon (apartment buildings in Telheiras and Atrium Saldanha), an honorable mention in the Valmor Award (N.T. Pereira, N. Portas atelier), Cidade de Almada Municipal Award.

On February 14, 2006, H.E. Jorge Sampaio, President of the Republic, granted him the Order of São Tiago da Espada.
